Henk Viëtor

Director

BIO

Henk Viëtor is one of the most highly accomplished and widely respected Energy Sector professionals. Henk founded The Vitol Group, a Dutch energy and commodity trading company in August 1966.   Anchored to the foundations Henk laid, his leadership and strategic direction drove VITOL to become one of the largest independent, physical trading and petroleum production companies in the world.

 

Whilst Henk’s enviable reputation was made and won within Energy Trading, Henk also has considerable experience in oil and gas exploration, negotiating the rights for and leading the exploration of oil and gas in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE and Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas in the USA.

 

Officially semi-retired, in April 2020, Henk joined as a Board Director of and Consultant to Knight Sterling, developing and leading strategic growth initiatives.

Mike Allen

Director

BIO

Mike Allen a founding director of Knight Sterling, has built and led, high performing, global sales and corporate organisations across diverse industries, initially within IT, progressing to PE turnaround within; chemicals, life sciences / research products and security, all almost always involving support of energy producers.

 

In 2006 Mike founded his own successful business providing outsourced procurement services for African Government Departments, NGOs and corporates, including energy producers and upstream service companies, eventually selling the business in 2013.

 

Mike is responsible for the identification and development of new clients for Knight Sterling, whilst ensuring the retention, satisfaction and growth of existing relationships.

 

Mike holds a Global MBA from Manchester Business School.

David Brown

Director

Sebastian Morley

Director

BIO

David Brown qualified as a Solicitor and has been a  Director of two Stock Exchange companies. He has extensive expertise in international mergers and acquisitions.

 

Originally specialising  within Commercial and Property law, saw David complete the acquisition, development and sale of significant UK retail and property brands, culminating in one of Europe’s largest property projects, Canary Wharf, London.

 

In 2003 David was appointed to Group DF, a major Ukrainian corporate, with responsibility for all oil and gas acquisitions and corporate structures a position he held for over 12 years.

 

David is Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of twenty-one Ukrainian gas distribution companies. As a Director of Knight Sterling, David is responsible for legal affairs and governance.

BIO

Sebastian Morley, a founding director of Knight Sterling was educated at Eton and Sandhurst. He served apprenticeships at Jardine Matheson in Hong Kong and Vestey Group in Australia. 

 

Sebastian was commissioned into the Black Watch, British Army and subsequently served with the United Kingdom Special Forces globally, retiring at the rank of Major.

 

Sebastian has been active within complementary industries to Oil and Gas for 23 years, serving in a number of leadership roles, with responsibility for project management, operational delivery and international business development.

 

Sebastian delivers operational leadership for all Knight Sterling supply opportunities, using his years of operational expertise to ensure deliveries to time and specification.
